Happy FIFTEENTH Birthday to Taylored Expressions!
Celebrating a special anniversary in papercraft today as Taylored Expressions turns FIFTEEN years old. I’ve always been so proud of Taylor and her commitment to quality products, customer service, and INNOVATION! She works tirelessly to bring great new ideas and products to life for the papercraft community. I can’t wait to see what the next 15 years bring for Taylor and her team.
Today, I’m sharing projects made with the new Totally Rad Create-in-Quad with coordinating dies. I love the vibrant pops of color with these icon images from my childhood. I remember BEGGING for a boom box. I also wanted a Walkman, but always had a knockoff that didn’t quite work the same. LOL
For this card, I used a the Totally Rad Create-in-Quad to create the background on Sugar Cube cardstock. Next, I cut stars from TE Sticky Sheet adhesive and applied them randomly over the blended panel. After peeling the 2nd protective layer, I sprinkled the exposed Sticky Sheet with Sugar Cube glitter. The transparent glitter gives a really pretty effect over the color. Finally, I cut a large star die-cut from the Star Stacklets and added the sentiment using the Oh My Word: Birthday stamp and die. The Happy Birthday sentiment is embossed with TE Lollipop Embossing Powder. The texture beneath the full decorated front was cut from Frame-in-Frame dies.
I loved roller skating. My parents always enrolled me in Saturday morning skate lessons so they could go for coffee with friends when they dropped me off. LOL Here I used the TE Happy Medium to blaze a sparkly trail with the rainbow stencil. The boom box and skate dies are a fabulous addition!
I used a bold and bright color palette with this quad, and I love the color pops. My quad-of-color here is: Cherry Pop, Lollipop, Candy Corn, and Mango. Super bright and fun! The color gets toned down a bit in photos with the Happy Medium over the top, but still squeals fun! I added sentiments from the Mini Strips Magical stamp (part of the Magical Kit shown below) to make for a super fun birthday card.
Next up, I created a magical birthday card with the a*dor*a*ble Magical Kit releasing this month. Super sweet unicorns in an array of colors with the stamp and stencil combo included in the kit.
Stamp, stencils, and stickers make this a sweet kit for little princesses in your life. It’s perfect! Here I’ve paired Lollipop, Cookie Monster, and Plum Punch colors with Gold Embossing Powder for magical fun. The Magical Mini Strip stamp has perfect sentiments for birthday, hello or encouragement messages.
I added a little detail with the banner dies and some fun scallops for backing. What little princess wouldn’t love these colors and mythical creatures?
