Everlasting Love – MISTI video tip & a blog hop

Welcome to Verve’s May Release Retrospective Blog Hop!

I love the colorful simplicity of this card and the perfect alignment of these sweet hearts. And… I created a short video to show you exactly how I did it!

It’s been a fabulous post release week at Verve and today the Divas and Guest Divas are back with another dose of inspiration using the brand new release! All of our new products are available to order in the Verve Store and are 25% off through the end of May! Plus, we’ve got a sweet hop prize in store!

I used the Love Everlasting set for this card – specifically the two heart image and the Jeremiah 31:3 sentiment.

I have loved you with an everlasting love!

I don’t know about you, but I could never line those hearts up without help, and the honest truth is that my MISTI has helped and really made me fall in love with stamping again. I can obtain crisp, perfect alignments that look great with little to no extra effort on my part.

I created a short video to show you how I did it. Please be kind, I didn’t realize the perspective was skewed until watching the video back, and then I was out of daylight to reshoot. I tried, and I think you’ll still understand the process. 🙂

Pocket Full of Posies: Copic Tutorial

loricraig_pocketfullofposies.jpg

HIP HOP! I had a chance to get crafty with my Unity Stamps earlier this week!

Angela posted a sweet story on her blog today about our ‘meeting’ almost 3 years ago. It’s funny that my mind never goes back to that particular story. My mind goes back to meeting Angela and Chris at a Cupcake Reception the Splitcoast Team had hosted at the Winter 2008 CHA show. Unity was launching at that show, and I remember being WOW’d by how warm they were, the vision for Unity – in the earliest days and of course, their love of laughter. Good, good times.

When Maren asked me to create a project for this week, she said, ‘just do something you do’. LOL! Well, as of lately, that would be all about Copic. This card features texture with Copic Blender solution, and after several failed video attempts, a second video camera and 17 colored pockets later, I created a tutorial for the fabulous HIP HOP crew. It’s featured on  the Unity blog today. How cool is that?

Here’s a picture of Angela and I at CHA a few weeks ago:

Hope you find a chance to put some HIP HOP in your day. It’ll make you smile. I promise. Just say it to yourself right now, ‘HIP HOP!’ See, you are smiling! I know it! Thanks to the Unity team for making me smile a LOT these last few years!

See you tomorrow!

CHA SuperShow plans…make yours now.

We opened our Splitcoast CHA SuperShow forum this morning.  Check out Jenn’s video montage from our Orlando SuperShow booth. It was a fabulous time! Hope that many of our friends can make it to California in January.

Glitter and Glitz… good stuff

I have had the opportunity to work with PK Glitz in the last few months, and it was fun to see them live and in action at the Great American Scrapbook Show yesterday. I love glitter. The WonderFilm was amazing. Can’t wait to play with that when I get home.  Janelle was the cutest thing, and I had to ask if we could video her demo. 🙂

This was my very first attempt at video – be kind.
