Merry Christmas

Say Merry Christmas with this beautiful Concord & 9thSimon Says Stamp exclusive STAMPtember collaboration set,Tis the Season!

STAMPtember sets are available in limited quantities and only from SimonSaysStamp.com, and I loved working with this set and predict this beauty will be a fast sell-out!

First I stamped my wreath with Old Paper Distress Ink on Neenah 110# Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and colored with Polychromos Pencils for a no-line coloring effect.

After coloring, I added some score lines to create a frame around the edge, popped up a second wood sign, and added sequins for just a bit of shimmer to finish my card.

I hope your weekend is full of your favorite things and plenty of creative time! Thanks for stopping by!

STAMPtember: Picket Fence Collaboration

Happy Hour, Friends! Tonight I am so happy to be sharing a special STAMPtember collaboration set between Picket Fence Stamps and SimonSaysStamp.com

The Picket Fence collaboration set is called Happy Water, and it’s perfect for invites and girlfriend cards! Please don’t delay shopping if you think this set is cute, and who can argue it’s not!! These collaborations have been selling out FAST.

First, I stamped my cocktails in VersaFine Black on Neenah cardstock and colored with Polychromos Colored Pencils. This is such a fast image to color. With so much glass, I left lots of white space and swiped over it at the end with a pale blue marker to cover the glass.

After the images were colored, I went over the top of the glasses with a clear glaze Sukura pen to give them shine and a bit of dimension. It was really tricky to photograph, but it’s a simple way to give your cards a little polish.

Here’s a peek at the stamp and die combination. It bears repeating: these collab sets have been flying off the shelf, so please don’t delay if you like this one!

I can’t wait to see the other designer’s projects with this cute set! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Write it on Your Heart… GET DIRTY

It’s my favorite card making week of the year… Dare to Get Dirty to celebrate our amazing artists and FAN CLUB at Splitcoaststampers. So many challenges every day this week and tons of prizes.

I made this card for Cassie Trask’s challenge, and I used a new set from Simon Says Stamp called Floral Bookmarking. Very, very fun. Great challenge because it pushed me to a different direction from “my normal”.

Thanks for looking! I’m going to get busy while the rest of my house is quiet this morning. Hope you find time to join us for a few (or all) Dare to Get Dirty Challenges this year! Find the dirty details here.

Impressive

Still Daring to Get Dirty! Paper, stamps and ink have been flying in my office all week long! Along with that fun, the Product Focus review team at Splitcoast published a review for Enhancing Elements from Spellbinders today.

Look at that crisp impression made with the Enhancing Elements. The elements do not cut, they impress and deboss. You use them with your existing Nestabilities shapes (circle, square, oval and rectangle).

If you follow my work, you know that I love texture and dimension, but I’m not so big on bulk that requires extra postage when I actually mail a card. To that end, these impression dies are beautiful.

The sentiment is from a set that I picked up from Simon Says Stamp in the spring, Flower Friend. I fell in love with the font and the floral images that make up the set.

About a month ago, my friend Michele sent me some sequins. Razzle dazzle and no loose glitter! {love} I’ve been sticking them on all sorts of things. Very fun (and flat!)

Work up to my eyeballs today! The end of the month is always a good time! LOL. Not to mention, continuing Dare to Get Dirty challenges and a VSN Mini coming up this Friday night. We’re still getting caught up on laundry around here. <insert a big eyeroll> Lots going on.

See you tomorrow?
