New colors have landed at Taylored Expressions, and who knew I’d be in love with Sour Gummy? A deep, rich ocean blue. The perfect addition along with newcomers Huckleberry – perfect purple addition, Jalapeno (which I lovingly call Jala-pine-yo for my friend Heather who LOVES a beautiful pine green, and Cinnamon – a gorgeous, toasty golden brown.
I’ve chosen to share these colors along with Raspberry Sorbet and Sweet Potato Pie for a gorgeous fall floral spray with Ever In Bloom Create in Quad stencil set. Perfect for fall! These new colors bring a special richness and depth to the Taylored Expressions color range!
I created some neutral texture behind with the Sugar Cube cardstock, the Dots of Diamonds embossing folder, and Tiny Diamonds jewels – the perfect landing spot for Signature Thanks die with the Mini Strips – Thanks Add Ons. This is my favorite way to use the Signature Thanks dies.
I created some True Color swatch cards to show off the paired hues. For this card, I used a stencil to show the color in a similar fashion to how I used the colors on my card. Not quite as intense as a full-stamp press.
My second card features the gorgeous new Huckleberry purple and shares how it fits into the current range with Macaron and Dried Fig. I love a good blending trio, and if you’ve been waiting for an intense, gorgeous purple, this is it.
Atmospheric Perspective is a term I work around when building a scene and in landscape photography. It’s the idea that items closer to you will be more distinctive, sharp and richer in color. The further from your eye, the more muted the colors will be. I’ve layered Huckleberry with it’s cousin purple colors: Macaron and Dried Fig to demonstrate this concept using the TE dies from Evergreens and the larger Through the Woods die sets.
