Sunshine…a little Copic news and a giveaway

I am *always* short on birthday cards, and I never turn down an extra dose of sunshine. I thought I’d share this quick and easy card with you this morning in honor of a special Copic announcement. 🙂

Love this sunflower image from Taylored Expressions’ Thankful set. I paired it with a combo of great layering dies – the colored image is cut with Take Note Frame 3 (I love this one so much, I have two so I can cut two at one time!) the larger kraft layer is cut with Label Stacklets 2. The image is colored with Copic Markers: Y32, Y38, G21, G24, E31, E25 and sprinkled with a little razzle dazzle.

The thing I love, love about working with Copic is the wonderful people I have a chance to meet across the country.  This is a photo of my friend Michelle Houghton and I in Chicago in 2010 at an Intermediate Certification class. Michelle and I had met previously at a Standard Certification class in Lincoln, Nebraska, and she’s one of those people that you make a fast friendship with. She’s also one of those incredibly talented people who enjoy working with a whole host of art mediums, but ROCKS Copic Markers.

Michelle Houghton has done a number of special events and demos for Copic over the years, and today we are thrilled to announce that she is officially a new instructor on our team. You are going to love taking classes from her! Michelle has a BS in Fine Arts and an MA in Teaching with years of experience teaching high school art, live workshops, and online crafting classes.

And of course we can’t have a celebration without gifts… so we are giving away some great Copic prizes!
