Well, my birthday week has come and gone, and boy, I am one blessed girl. The week was full of happy mail, special times with special people and some wonderful gifts. I have a few different things to show you over the next few days, but first things first….I get some notes in the mail to the folks who made my week so special. I whipped out some thank you notes yesterday afternoon.
This is one in a set of 6 quick thank you cards I completed this afternoon. The layout is one I use over and over again, but it falls under ‘not broke – don’t fix’ umbrella. The patterened paper is of unknown manufacturer origin, but it was a gift from my longtime, dear friend, Angel, paper genius, a while back. I just love the sparkle and shine. I normally don’t ‘do purple’, but I think you’ll agree this is lovely. Thank you, Angel!
To complete the card’s main image, I used Happy Harmony (my favorite Sell-A-Bration set EV-VAH! from SU! – have beautiful image and gorgeous fonts with special thoughts) and colored the images directly on the stamp with markers. The main body of the flower is colored with Pale Plum and then colored over lightly around the edges with Perfect Plum for depth. The edges of the flowers are coated with a thin application of StarDust Stickles. The stems are Artichoke all on Shimmery White cardstock. To make the patterened paper POP, I used a little trick from my friend, Jami, paper genius – FALL BACK ON BLACK! A multiple of different accessories (ribbon, brads) make each of the 6 cards slightly different with the same layout.
