Perk Up, Friends! It’s Taylored Expressions Kit Time! Coffee is the only way to start the day, and these cards will be perfect for my coffee-loving friends!

This kit includes an assortment of stamps, foil-in panels (for inside sentiments, but shown as a focal point here), dies and stencils – something for everyone!

I used the Perk Up Stencil with Strawberry Milkshake ink, and then overstamped with the Perk Up Background stamp using Sea Salt ink to “lift” the pink color. After cutting with the dies, I added my stamped pieces on a Foil It sentiment panel that had been cut with the Stitched Frame-in-Frame 3 Stacklets and layered it all over the Pierced Diagonal panel of Sugar Cube card stock.

The whole stamp and stencil combo is adorable – here I’ve paired it with Plum Punch and Cookie Monster ink and over stamped with black. I love the font from the Simple Strips – Coffee, and Coffee is always the answer!

I added a Frame-in-Frame 3 around the edge for a fun finish.

Everything is coming up flowers with the 2nd Chance Taylored Expressions release! This week’s release is full of beautiful items that have previously been a gift with purchase and not available for sale. Now is your chance if you missed them the first time around!

I had so much fun creating a wide variety of projects for today!

I’m kicking it off with the adorable Shaker Tag Dies with the Dutch Garden Foil It and Coordinating dies. LOVE these Dutch Garden dies. The mushrooms and flowers are so crisp and cute by themselves, but the pair perfectly with many other TE products, ahem, gnomes. 🙂

I cut the mushrooms and flowers from a variety of bright TE Premium Cardstock, and I cut the shaker tag from a Dutch Garden Foil It panel for a quick finish. I used elements from the shaker tag, as well as the Dutch Garden dies to create my shaker elements. The Happy Birthday is from the On Occasion Suite – using the Foil It Panel and Champagne Deco Foil (my favorite color!). All of the products I used today are linked below for your convenience!

To pair with the Shaker Tag, I created a cute card using the Dutch Garden Foil It Panels and leftover pieces cut with the Coordinating Die elements and the Rainbow Mini Strips. The sentiment was embossed with Cookie Monster Embossing Powder. Really quick and cute, but my favorites!

Next up, I created a Mini Slim Birthday card – I recently organized my cards, and I’m super short on birthdays! – with the Coneflower and Antique Pail dies. My flower pieces were die cut from Sugar Cube and colored with OLO Marker.

The antique milk pail was cut from Cookie Monster cardstock and blended on the edges. White splatters where added with Sugar Cube Premium Ink. The Sugar Cube panel was accented with the Mini Slim Diagonal Stitch dies and splatters before the floral arrangement and Taylor’s Tiny Diamonds were added. The whole ensemble was wrapped in twine and popped up on a card base of Cookie Monster cardstock.

Finally, I used the Garden Variety dies with the Get Thready Heart dies (released last week) to create some cute felt Valentine or spring tags. So fun!

To create the tags, I cut all of my elements from TE felt and stuck them in a little kit bag that I carried around to various errands where I knew I’d be in the car or sitting idle for a few minutes. It was the perfect on-the-go project!

It’s sweet treats time with so many things to share today from Taylored Expressions! Just in time to share little love messages with your family and friends, TE brings out the adorable!

After blending soft tone-on-tone ink to Pink Champagne and Peaches n Cream Cardstocks, I used the Tag Treat Wrap to create simple, but adorable treat boxes. Filled with a little cello bag of Puppy Chow that my daughter made when she was home from school, they make a super fast little treat.

My puppy chow boxes are decorated with images from the adorable Much Sketch set, Puppy Love – colored with OLO Marker and accented with Bits n Pieces Hearts. Super easy and fun!

I had so much fun creating heart tags from felt with the new Get Thready: Heart Tag Dies. They layer so quickly, and the open-holed heart was perfect for creating some simple cross-stitch designs – a little bride, some word art, and a swiss heart pattern. The Taylored Expressions wool felt cuts beautifully with the dies, and looks so polished.

I’ve used the tags as treat tags, a fun little bunting for my winter village, and as a finish accent for a cross-stitch I finished this weekend. I did all of my die-cutting at one time, and then stitched in the car over the holidays and while I was watching games on tv. Stitching is a perfect activity for that!

There are plenty of daily deals through the holiday weekend, but I wanted to share the simplistic beauty of Winterberry Background. Here I’ve paired it with the Burlap Background (with a tone-on-tone Dried Fig ink) and the Splatter Background (heat embossed in Gold) for a simple thank you card.

After creating my backdrops on both Dried Fig and Buttercream cardstock, I used the 1/4″ Easy Strips die to create a small strip that I heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder to cover the seam of the Buttercream and the Dried Fig cardstock meet.

Background stamps are a go-to for me when creating! Layering them make it easy to create cards with design depth and interest. Background stamps also make it easy to create cards in multiple. Here, I’ve paired the backgrounds with the gorgeous sentiment set, Grateful Greetings, heat embossed in Fine Gold Embossing Powder.

The birthday candles and coordinating die are my favorites! Here, I’ve popped the candles up on foam and added Tiny DIamonds to the stenciled flames for a little extra sparkle. So fun!

Today, I am featuring projects made with Taylored Expressions Premium Inks for gorgeous blends, and if you need to stock up with new or extra colors, now is the time at 30% off.

To create this card, I used the awesome Create-in-Quads Peaceful Pines and a rainbow of premium inks to create a winter wonderland of cards perfect for any rainbow-loving friend. This card features the miniature forest panel, TE Arched Stacklets and Snow Globe Builder Dies. This faux shaker is pretty, but easy to make and flat to mail. I simply cut a 2nd Arched Stacklet piece from clear acetate. I added Bits & Pieces – Sparkly Stars between the layers. The acetate is glued along the bottom, hidden by the Snow Globe Builder piece.

For my second card, I created a rainbow Christmas tree shaker card with Frame-in-Frame 3 and Scalloped Rectangle Stacklets and clear acetate. Clay snowflakes, sparkly stars and Snow Flurries sequins fill the frame for a fun Christmas Wish.

Sentiments from Foil It: Merry & Bright round out both cards.

Sharing something to make your crafting life easier today! The Taylored Expressions team is sharing fun new products in collaboration with Brutus Monroe: the Stick and Stamp Mat, the Brutus Monroe Blending Buddy, the exclusive TE Mini Slim Blending Buddy, and the Mat Mist Cleaner..

The Stick and Stamp Mat holds your cardstock and stencil taught while you blend to help create beautiful smooth transitions. For this card, I used the new Swirly Roses Stencil and the exclusive TE Mini Slim Blending Buddy to protect the Sticky Mat.

After blending, I added a few black splatters with TE Liquid watercolor in Oreo and Taylor’s Tiny Diamonds. Love how the pastel colors blend right in with the shades of green and aqua from the super soft ink blending.

Tips: 

Use only Mat Mist to clean the Stick & Stamp Mat. never use a cleaner like Dawn Power Wash as it will strip the stick. 

To lift cardstock from the mat, simply and gently bend the corner to release the paper and peel. Never use. Poke took to scrape the paper loose. 

Cover the Stick and Stamp Mat with the plastic film when not in use.

Here’s one more sample using the new Artisan Feathers Stencil and the Stick & Stamp Mat. I love the crisp edges of the ink blend that are made possible with the stickiness of the mat holding the paper clean to the stencil.
