Jami Swaps Rock!

out-for-pub-sign-oct-07.jpg

Jami Swaps ROCK! She runs a tight ship on time frame, top quality goes without saying, and I love it when my return envie shows up in the mail box. This was a 4.25″ square pocket card that I made after seeing a sample on Michelle Wooderson’s blog. (She ROCKS, too!) The inside is a pocket, file folder of sorts. Seems like I am always sharing recipes with people, and figured this was a good way to do that.  🙂

I figured with Apple Cider paper, my Aunt Betty’s Apple Dumpling Cobbler would be fun to share. I typed it up in Word, printed it on cardstock and made it into an insert.

Ways to Use It: Pocket Cards

Pocket cards are the focus of Julia’s Ways to Use It challenge at SCS today. Wonderful idea because pocket cards are great for gift certificates, invites and photos. I like to use them for little note cards.

Rest your eyes….

real-life-lcraig-082907.jpg

It’s been a long weekend! My mom and I took my girls to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. It’s Southern Gospel Picnic-time at SDC, and we specifically went to hear our favorite gospel singers, The Isaacs. Our whole family loves Branson (it was our 4th trip this year!), but I am worn out! There’s just so much to do and see.

So, just in case your weekend was as tiring as mine, I thought I’d post one of my favorites and give you a little something to rest your eyes on as we start a new week!  <wink>

WSC 17: Friend

beate-wsc17-lcraig-083107.jpg

I’m going to get out the owner’s manual on my camera. I have been having a rough time with the pictures. I get where I want to be, click and the camera won’t take the picture. Seems like I am too close (or something). I promise the glitter doesn’t look as tacky IRL! LOL!

So ~ here is my take on Beate’s Sketch this morning. I love the circle off the side. It’s a perfect accent for a 4.25″ square card. I could chop the edges of the flower of, but it will still fit in a regular card envelope this way…I think I’ll leave it! Lots of errands and such ~ so I’ll let you keep blog hoppin’! While you are at it, check out Charmaine, Sharon and Jenn. See what they thought of Beate’s Sketch today! Thanks for stopping by!
