Uh-oh!

My little girl took one look at this stamp and said, ‘now that’s one bad hair day!’

It’s time for a JiFFy challenge with my friends Michele Boyer, Carole Burrage, Julie Campbell and Alli Miles (Alli is mid-move, so exercise some patience with her!) And look who’s joining us, sweet Kim Hughes! Love these girls! We do this thing Just For Fun, hence JiFFy. 🙂 One girl picks the stamp image and one gal picks the paper.

Michele picked the image this month: Whimsy Owl from All That Scraps, and I picked the patterned paper: Beloved & Graceful from Pink Paislee. They went to so well together! I added a sentiment with Snap Stamps that says, ‘uh-oh’. You know those, ‘uh-oh’ moments, right? Uh-oh, I forgot your birthday! Uh-oh, I goofed that up! Uh-oh, I shouldn’t have said that! If you can’t relate, just humor me. 🙂

Did you see how Sherrie is making her own crocheted flower embellishments? At one time, many moons ago, my mom taught me how to chain-stitch and double crochet. With the help of you-tube video (I can’t find the exact video I watched, but this one is very similar: Crochet Flower).  I picked it up and made 10 of these little flower beauties this weekend. The first 2 took me a little bit to figure out, but now I can make one in about 10 minutes.  On this sample, I used a 3-weight yarn and a 3.25mm crochet hook. The yarn and hook together were $3.50 at the Wally-world. I saw a whole gallon ziplock of light-weight yarn at the thrift store the other day for $1.50. I’m going back to see if it’s still there for a variety of thread colors. Good times!
