A Kid with Class!

Last night my youngest asked me if I would make her a card. Since it’s the first day of summer school (PTL!) I thought I’d suprise both of my daughters this afternoon. Here’s the card I made for Courtenay. I’ll try to post Ashley’s a bit later.

I used the CHF color challenge today for my palette: Tawny Light, Classic Red and Iced Teal. This is a 5.5″ square card. I love that the new Scrapblocks ™ (being released tomorrow) are 6×6 so stamped image can go landscape or portrait or cover a big ole square. I used Writing Paper. First I inked the stamp with Aqua Light, then using just the corner of the Classic Red ink pad, I went over the dashed guidelines. You could use a marker easily, too.  I used a stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment on the paper.

You can see other cards using this color combo at these fancypancy blogs: Julie Campbell, Dawn Lusk, Kim Hughes, Michele Boyer, Kristine Reynolds, Becky Olsen and Lisa Strahl. I’ve got a busy day planned and hopefully that equates fun stuff to show you all week long! 🙂
