Card Making Saturday

Lots of *great* things going on in paper crafting today! Plenty of Hope You Can Cling To challenges (with over $6500 in prizes) and cancer awareness at Splitcoast. I’m tucked into my stamp room, and I’m armed with tons of inspiration and COFFEE.  Watch out world!

First up…

Here’s my card for the Stamp n’ Send Challenge in the Taylored Expressions forum at Splitcoast. Loved this sketch by beautiful and talented, Jen Shults!

My main image is one I snagged from Taylor when we met up in Kansas last weekend for some classes that Taylor was teaching in Topeka. It’s from her newest set, Best Nests. I thought these cardinal were adorable.

My nest is colored with Copic Marker (BG000, BG10 <– a favorite color, YR31, E41, E42, G21, G24, R24, R27, and random browns for the bricks).  Then I used chunky glitter to ‘winterize’… The paper is from an older Cosmo Cricket collection. (GASP! I haven’t ordered new paper for this Christmas season yet!)

I’m off to make some more cards. Today’s Hope You Can Cling To challenge is to make a card with 3 dies and a sentiment. Easy-peasy.

See you soon!
