‘Paint the Town R29’ Giveaway

The Copic instructor team has been hanging out in Portland, OR this week planning classes for 2013….Lots of great ideas coming! Very excited. From the fog in this photo, things look a little W1, but I’m excited and all of us are ready to ‘paint the town R29’!

Loved these shirts, and today we’re giving you a chance to win your very own! Leave a comment here, and you are entered to win your very own “Paint the town R29” shirt. I’ll choose a winner on Wednesday at noon, October 31st.

We have lots of opportunity to win… Enter at each blog below, then check back to see if you’ve won. Just make a note that we all have varying travel schedules this week, so each instructor has set their own cutoff time. So, when you are checking back, winner’s won’t all be posted at the same time for each individual giveaway. 🙂

Can’t wait to win? These t-shirts are exclusive to the Copic website. You can purchase your very own “Paint the town R29” from the Copic store. Check out our growing selection of limited edition t-shirts, exclusive to the Copic store.

Good Luck and Happy Hopping!

Please Note: Contest is only open to US and Canada residents.

Squirrel!

I knew I’d be crafting this morning before I attempted any thing else for the day… I’ve been going 20 different directions with fabulous Hope You Can Cling To sponsorship and administrative tasks. My attention span this week has been so short, bouncing from thing-to-thing, and as soon as I’d get really into a project, someone#1 or someone#2 would yell “SQUIRREL!” over the inter-office intercom, and we’d be off to the races once again.  It’s all good, but seriously. I was ready for Saturday.

This card is for Tenia’s fabulous Hope You Can Cling To challenge: Music Soothes the Soul. I wanted to use a new Taylored Expressions set, Falling for You and the coordinating die (set was a special for Key Ingredient Kit Club members this month), and paired it with an oldie-but-goodie sketch from the Splitcoast Treasure Chest: Sketch #20 which originally debuted on May 10, 2005! For the music portion of the challenge, I loved this little piece of sheet music (October Afternoon) because of the bottom line: “When I came near it, away flew the bird.” I immediately thought of the squirrels outside my kitchen window.

Again with someone#1 and someone#2.

And just because I angled up… It’s amazing that I get anything done besides sipping coffee and gazing out my kitchen window these days. Squirrel!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hoot! Hoot! for Hope

I love this little owl die, and I thought this would be a funny post, but as I was getting the photo ready, I heard that a sorority sister of mine from college passed away today. 45 years young. breast cancer. much too soon.

You can read a small snippet of her amazing life story here.

Thanks to the one-and-only Miss Jeanne for hosting a fun challenge for Hope You Can Cling To this month. You can find the details to participate here.

You Make My World Go Round

Fast and fun – another Hope You Can Cling To challenge card. The challenge here was called Strip, Please. This cute little number from Lawn Fawn was the perfect set to bust out a strip of carnival tickets.

Keeping the chatter to a minimum today because I’m hoping to crank out several more cards. Being crafty makes me happy. Have a great day!

hello, my friend

Love all of these fabulous Hope You Can Cling To challenges at Splitcoast. This one was so fun…quick and easy…hosted by Giovana, 3 dies & a sentiment.

The GALLERY at SCS looks so good, and maybe I didn’t mention that there are over $6500 in prizes – yes, I said SIXTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS – up for grabs this month from our fabulous sponsors!

Thanks for looking, and I hope you find time to get stampy this week.

You Make Me Smile

Just a quick post this morning to share a sweet little notecard that I made for the Crafty Friends Challenge. The challenge was to utilize dry embossing, and immediately my mind went back to light boxes, brass templates and a stylus. I cranked this out with a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities plate. We’ve come a LONG way, baby!

I really enjoy clean and simple notecards with a short sentiment (Grand Sentiments – Justrite Papercrafts). They are perfect to have on hand for those last minute needs, and a little something like dry embossing or a fancy die cut shape gives it a little punch factor. The dies are from Spellbinders.

We have another busy day here today with church and a family dinner, so I’m going to peek at the other girls’ cards and get going! Hope you have time to check out: CharmaineNinaLinda and Beate.

Have a great day!

P.S. I have been stamping up a storm today for Hope You Can Cling To challenges, so I’ll be back soon!

Card Making Saturday

Lots of *great* things going on in paper crafting today! Plenty of Hope You Can Cling To challenges (with over $6500 in prizes) and cancer awareness at Splitcoast. I’m tucked into my stamp room, and I’m armed with tons of inspiration and COFFEE.  Watch out world!

First up…

Here’s my card for the Stamp n’ Send Challenge in the Taylored Expressions forum at Splitcoast. Loved this sketch by beautiful and talented, Jen Shults!

My main image is one I snagged from Taylor when we met up in Kansas last weekend for some classes that Taylor was teaching in Topeka. It’s from her newest set, Best Nests. I thought these cardinal were adorable.

My nest is colored with Copic Marker (BG000, BG10 <– a favorite color, YR31, E41, E42, G21, G24, R24, R27, and random browns for the bricks).  Then I used chunky glitter to ‘winterize’… The paper is from an older Cosmo Cricket collection. (GASP! I haven’t ordered new paper for this Christmas season yet!)

I’m off to make some more cards. Today’s Hope You Can Cling To challenge is to make a card with 3 dies and a sentiment. Easy-peasy.

See you soon!

You are special to me.

In the midst of making cards, I am taking this online photography class right now. I’ve learned a ton about my camera, and it’s really made me think about being intentional with my pictures. I’ve been very happy with some of the shots I’ve gotten in the first few weeks of the class. This is my husband and his dog, Walker. I had to get up at 4:30 am to take this photo, and it’s not technically perfect, but that’s ok because I’ll treasure it always.

Be intentional.

Cupcake Cutie

Day two of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges at Splitcoaststampers. I’m on a roll. 🙂

This card is for Lee’s challenge, Show Off Your Cupcakes! Another fun one with Build-a-Treat stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions. I’m going to try to do most of the challenges this month. Trying to carve out a little time each morning.

If you love browsing pretty pieces of paper, you can see all of the shared Hope You Can Cling To gallery projects here.

Have a great day, and hopefully, I’ll see you tomorrow.

You Lift Me Up

I’ve got another Hope You Can Cling To challenge sample for you… Beate’s challenge is to create a card that illustrates ‘ray of hope,’ and you can read about it here. Loved using this beautiful set and dies from one of our gracious our sponsors, Verve Stamps.

I’m going to be busy stamping this morning…I want to really give it the college try to complete all of the challenges this year. I can’t win any PRIZES <– amazing list of sponsors and prize donations here… but, I love trying all of the ideas, and I’m happy to have cards to support cancer patients and families.

I’ll be back soon, and if you’re playing any of the challenges – leave me a comment with a link to your card so I can see your paper pretties! Thanks for stopping by!
