Sharing previously released EXCLUSIVES today for Taylored Expressions, and these have been some of my favorite products and cards created in a while! All of the goodies I’ve used are linked below.
With a variety of staple dies and sentiments, you’ll reach for these staples over and over again. I’m loving the ability to pull these timeless exclusives out of my stash
My first card features my well-loved Gel Press, Speedball Brayer, and Pinata Inks. Here I used the PInata Alcohol Inks on the Gel Press to create an abstract background that I lifted with White Acrylic Paint onto Gel Press Paper. I just sprinkle the inks on the Gel Press, shift them around by rolling the brayer over the top and then use the Air Puff Tool to dry the top of the plate. Once that random layer of inks is dry, drop one drop of white paint in the center of the mess and spread it out to a think layer with your brayer. While the white paint is wet, cover the plate with a piece to Taylor’s Gel Press Paper, and rub over the top of the surface with the Just Press Tool or the palm of your hand. Lift while the paint is still wet to reveal a masterpiece.
TIP: When choosing colors, look for 3-4 colors that connect to each other on the color wheel for seamless, beautiful blends.
After pulling my print, I stamped the single word SUNSHINE from Building Blocks: Ring Around the Word. I cut that piece with Modern Label dies (LOVE THESE!) and added that to the sweet HEY from Ring Around the Word dies. The scallop die-cut border from Frame-in-Frame 3 fits perfection. I applied clear Happy Medium to my white die cut pieces and allowed to dry. Then, I simply stacked all the pieces together, off-setting the big HEY focal point and added white Tiny Diamonds.
I’m in love with the Modern Sentiment Label dies. Here I’ve embossed a beautiful sentiment from Anytime Expressions in gold and added the sentiment over a layer of leaves cut from the Tropical Leaves dies. Using the soft TE Blending Brushes, I blended ink in a variety of Mint Julep, Lime Zest, Sprinkles, and Salt Water Taffy Premium Inks on the leaves cut from Sugar Cube cardstock. I layered these over a white panel cut with the Pierced Diamonds Cutting Plate and added Clear Drip Drops. Inside I stamped a sentiment from The Inside Scoop: Sympathy.
