Four Fun Foil It Projects

The Taylored Expressions team is sharing fabulous Foil It projects today. Talk about the fastest WOW! card you’ve ever made! You’ll love these new Foil It panels for instant classy cards. Pair them with a simple sentiment, and you are well on your way to beautiful handmade cards that are sure to make the recipient feel loved.

I have four cards to share today, and all of the products I’ve used are linked below.

I think the Foil It panels offer striking simplicity. Here I have partnered the Foil It: Mini Slim Spring Spray panel with Foil It: On Occasion sentiments. I love the gold pairing with the red poppies that are colored with OLO alcohol marker. Peaches and Cream cardstock cut from Petite Scalloped Mini Slim Stacklets made the perfect backdrop for my simple panel. It’s finished off with a few Gold Drip Drops.

I loved the Foil It: Mini Slim Bontanical panels with rich fall colors. I used the coordinating masking stencil to blend Avocado Premium Dye Ink in the center opening, and finished the card with the scripted With Sympathy sentiment from the Mini Slim Botanical Sentiments.

I added splatters using Chocolate Truffle Premium Dye Ink and a small paintbrush plus Gold Drip Drops before raising the panel with foam strips on a Toffee Cardstock base.

The one thing I love about the Foil It panels is how easy they are to use. I do think the heat applicator makes a difference. I started my foiling journey several years ago with a 3M Laminator, and then upgraded to a Royal Sovereign laminator. Neither machine gave me consistent results. Last fall I purchased the Minc Machine from TE, and I’ve been so, so happy. I get beautiful results with the full variety of foil colors that Taylored Expressions offers. The Minc was a solid investment. If you are in the market for a Minc, I’ve mentioned a special for that machine at the end of this post.

If you are loving the foil look, check out this special from TE:

Through Sunday, June 26th, purchase 5 or more Foil It packs from Taylored Expressions and get a free metallic foil (our choice of Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, or Copper) FREE! It’s a great time to stock up and collect the Foil It packs that you have had on your wish list! Offer good while supplies last.

I love stained glass windows, and the Foil It: Right Angle panels and coordinating stencils help you create an effortless stained glass look.

Here, Candy Corn, Lollipop, and Pineapple Premium Inks create the soft look of stained glass, and the foiled lines create the leading. After cutting my panel with the Arched Stacklet Die, I softened the look by adding it over a Sugar Cube cardstock panel that was embossed with Floral Vine Embossing Folder. A few sprigs from the Branch Out die and a gold embossed With Sympathy finish this off.

One of my favorite TE dies is the Thanks die and backer plate. It is a simple, beautiful finish for so many cards. Here I’ve put it over the Foil It: Paradise panel that is colored with OLO alcohol markers.

The frame on this card is part of the Free with $100 promotion die for June. I LOVE this die set – it’s a beautiful way to finish and frame card edges.
