My creative life is certainly better this summer as I join the Taylored Expressions Design Team for regular monthly releases! I’m so excited to be joining this group, and to work with fabulous products. It’s been so inspiring, and I can’t wait to share my products for this week’s summer release! I am kicking off my release projects with the fantastic Pool Party stamp set and stencil. I used Colbalt Teal Open Acrylic paint and my gel plate to create a great water background and floating oasis for my sun-loving cuties.
The background was created with a layer of acrylic paint on the gel plate, spread smooth, and I topped it off with the Pool Party stencil. I used a piece of bubble wrap with small bubbles to lift paint from the open areas of the stencil, they I pulled back the stencil and let the whole thing dry on my gel press. When it was dry, I used a thin layer of white acrylic paint and Gel Press Paper to “lift” the print. So fun!
My Pool Party patrons are colored with Polychromos colored pencils. They are the perfect size for creative coloring!
I used an extra aqua paint Gel Press print and the fabulous Hello Sunshine stamp set to create a clean and simple card. The little flip flips from the Pool Party set were abandoned at the edge of the pool. The ‘life is better in the summer’ is my mantra. I’m 100% a summer girl.
My second set of projects were created with fun new Triple Slim Boho Stencils, new TE ink colors and Blending Brushes. The Triple Slim concept is fantastic because you are able to use the set of 4 graduated design stencils to create on background that is easily cut up to create three coordinating cards.
My color combo was a surprise to me, after just messing around. I love the way Avocado, Banana Cream Pie, Passion Fruit, and Macaron all played together for this bright and fresh look!
I used this panel from the Triple Slim Panel along with this awesome Half Dots Stencil. I love the variety of colors and the clean look of this panel in white. So much variety in a clean and simple design. My sentiment is from the new set Boho Hellos. Just the right mix of fonts for simple, yet thoughtful, messages.
You Are AMAZING! I used the Rainbow Drip Drops to accent my colors on the Boho Background, and I loved how they picked up color from underneath and shifted their appearance.
Happy Birthday with a little black sentiment, Black Drip Drops and splatter for interest is a simple favorite of mine from this fabulous release!
I’m calling it Boho Trip Slim Stencils for the win! It’s an easy way to create multiple cards with coordinated looks, making it an awesome choice for building up your card stash or creating gift sets.
