Merry Mantles from Concord & 9th

Yes. I’m aware that you’ve just placed pumpkins on your mantle and found the box of faux autumn leaves, but it’s time for Christmas crafting! Sharing the Merry Mantle Bundle from Concord & 9th today!

Coloring these stockings reminded me that making stockings was one of the things I was going to do this year. Our family has stockings at my mom’s house, but I’ve never made them to hang at home. The girls are both in college, so the time is right, am I right? Anyway, I didn’t do it because #2020.

I colored my stockings with Polychromos Pencils. I was asked this week if I preferred the Polychromos Pencils to Prismacolor, and I **SO** do prefer them. They blend so beautifully, and the color is so vibrant. I do use Gamsol for a little blending here and there, but the pencils really do most of the work.

My second card with Merry Mantles features the wreath. It’s easy to color, just vary your shades of green for depth and variety. The stamp and the die both have an outward notch to make the die line up easy, and it was a breeze – cuts beautifully.

I used the new Candy Stripe Background and Aqua Sky ink to create the pretty, soft plaid. Love the contrast of the Aqua Sky and the green of the wreath. I also used a brayer to smooth the ink on the stamp.

I finished off both cards with stamps and die sentiments from the Seasonal Sayings Bundle. I love the crisp, clean look of these fonts – both the stamps and the dies.

Many thanks to Concord & 9th for having me as a guest designer this month. It’s been a great month of fun creative time, and I’ve loved working with these products. Don’t take that as an “I’m finished” because I still have more to share tomorrow!

Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by!
