You Can Make Beautiful Things

In the midst of getting ready for Christmas, I’ve been trying to finish coloring and card creating with a few images that have been on my desk for a while…Polly want a cracker?

Getting my card stash built up for the new year and prepping samples for my next Copic workshop classes NEXT MONTH in sunny, warm, Southern California! YAY!

I hope Santa might have a colorful outlook on your new year and that you might be able to join Debbie or I in Anaheim for either our certification or workshop classes or with a gift certificate, you could choose any of our 2016 locations. Always a ton of fun!

This cutie is an example of one type of coloring that we tackle in our workshops… faces and hair from simple, like this Pure Innocence from MFT, or more complexed with layers and layers of curly hair or structured facial features. Different types of pleating would be something covered in our Clothing and Accessories class. Always fun to see the progression of our students.

This is a Saturated Canary image that I colored and shared just a few weeks ago, I loved this sentiment from an Stampin’ Up! My Paper Pumpkin kit that a friend gifted me, and thought it was so appropriate for any number of friends!

This would be an example of a more complexed image style that we would color in the Faces and Hair workshop. The digitals are nice because you can size them specifically for your own project. Resizing to something larger than your normal is a great way to stretch your comfort zone and learn shading with more color options.

After Christmas decor during our ice storm last weekend, we are in full swing house cleaning mode to prep for some holiday get-togethers. And, by *we* I really mean me, and that I have lists for everyone in the house! It’s going to be a super, fun weekend at the Craig house! I can’t wait for the teenage eyerolling to commence.

Whether you are coloring, shopping, baking or cleaning… I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
