Fun in a Copic and Inchie Art Squares Blog Hop

Having blog hop fun today with two fun product teams: Copic Marker and Inchie Art Squares!

Last week, my friend Dina had this great tutorial for Colored Glitter Inlay in the Splitcoaststampers newsletter, and one of the necessary supplies as matboard. I couldn’t wait to try her technique and to make a card for this hop! It was PERFECT, and it was certainly fun!

I use Copic frequently, but about Inchie Art Squares, did you know:

• Art Squares are the perfect canvas for creating small-format art!
• They come in 6 sizes (1 inch, 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, and ATC).
• Art Squares come in 7 colors (black, dark gray, light gray, kraft, dark cream, light cream and white).
• They are perfect for wet or dry mediums.
• Copic markers and inks look amazingly vibrant and deliciously rich on Art Squares!
• Copic multiliners glide smoothly across the surface.
• Work on the “top” or toothy side for the best results.
• Mix and match your mediums! No warping, bending or curling.

I followed Dina’s tutorial instruction, step-by-step, and the Art Squares with XPress It Adhesive Sheets from Copic worked perfectly for the Colored Glitter Inlay technique.

The dies used are from MFT Stamps to create the impressions on the Art Squares, and paired them with a puny sentiment from Taylored Expressions. I used Warm Diamond glitter from Elizabeth Craft. Because you are actually coloring and blending your Copic markers over the top of burnished glitter, be careful with this technique to avoid working glitter into the tips of your marker nibs. With the smooth burnishing, this brand worked well for me! Copic Markers used were Y32, Y35, YG01, YG03, YG07, B02 and Bo4.
