Flowers for Mama! They are PINK!

Well if there were ever a day for a post full of love…this is it. Thanks for hopping by on the IT’S A GIRL for Taylor and Jon blog hop this morning. So very excited for my dear friends. Praying for this baby daily, and I cannot wait to hold that snuggley bundle of pink come September. I might have to take my girls with me for the baby visit when she arrives. My youngest daughter loves Taylor, and always calls her, ‘your friend with the cute shoes?’ Yes, Taylor will soon get to pass all of that cuteness and shopping prowess to her darling daughter. Jon, my husband sends his tongue-in-cheek sympathies, but says we are worth every penny. LOL.

To celebrate, a few of Taylor’s friends have gotten together to help announce the news. I chose to make a card using Taylor’s new Bringing Baby Home set and an oldie-but-goodie, Tweet Hearts. I paired everything with Emma’s Shoppe Paper from Crate. I colored the top of the baby buggy with Copics (YR30 and YR31), but that buggy body just begged to be paper-pieced with a cabbage rose, IMO. 🙂 I loved the coordinating book spine accent strip that came from the same pad of 6×6 paper, Flowers for Mama. It’s all put together with Spellbinders dies and a strip of a party streamer.

So that’s my good news for Mother’s Day weekend. I spent the evening with my precious Mom last night watching my oldest in the school play, The Wizard of Oz. Our weekend is filled with graduation hoop-la and flower planting in the yard. Found some beautiful flowers at a new nursery this year. I’m very excited to get everything in the ground and growing, and so thankful that God gifts us spring and the opportunity for new beginnings every single year.
