May I pour you a cup of tea?

Welcome to Sketch Friday…. At the end of February, I agreed to forego coffee, diet coke, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, flour of any kind and any processed food for 12 weeks. Since I’m just about 2/3 of the way through, I can safely speak of it now, though the ‘no coffee’ thing has definitely been the hardest part to overcome. There is another coffee drinker in my house, and let’s just say that for me, the ‘first part of waking up’ really should be Folgers in your cup, not your nostrils. Seriously, though, lots of great things have come about in the last 8 weeks, one of them being herbal teas, and I’ve come to enjoy several different varieties.

Creativi-TEA is a new set from Taylored Expressions, and I loved several things about it including the labels – the one I used here matches perfectly with Labels 9 Spellbinders Dies. Also loved the tea cups and pots. So, here’s my card for the Taylored Expressions Sketch I had so much fun playing with the set this morning! I really didn’t want to quit to get my kiddos up for school.

Along with patterned paper from the Paper Girl Card Kit, I used an older book from the thrift store – the page was about Marie Curie and her incredible knowledge – but, look at the text to the right of the cup. I didn’t see it until after I had completed the card, but check it out, ‘her time between the same baby and car..destined to several pitchble..intensity _____’  What do you think should come after that? Fill in the blank! After a full day trip into the city with two chatty little girls yesterday – I have a few ideas.

I’m going to check out the other Cupcake Samplers this morning – cyber sweetness, I can still have that. I know they won’t disappoint me. I’m looking forward to a date with hubby tonight and family pictures tomorrow. I hope that you have a weekend full of wonderful.
