Today, we’re celebrating with a JustRite Christmas Blog Hop. There is a master list of ‘hoppers’ at the bottom of this post, and I know you’ll find plenty of inspiration and want to get moving on your Christmas projects now..not December 14th. You know you’ll want to be attending festivities, watching your tree lights twinkle and enjoying your family when Christmas rolls around. Save yourself some stress and get going now.
I used the sentiment ‘snowflakes are winter’s butterlies‘ from Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers and created a tag for an altered wooden snowflake ornament. I stamped the sentiment and center snowflake with Memento Inks (brown and sand) twice on Poison Ivory cardstock then accented with Dazzling Diamonds (ultrafine from Stampin’ Up!) glitter. The circles were cut with Small Circle Nestabilities. The circles are adhered to a Petite Scalloped Circle of Suede Dark Brown Prism. So, when the tag hangs freely and spins, you have the same thing on both sides. A short piece of linen thread is attached in the middle of the cardstock layers. This is where I was glad that I use Zip Dry liquid paper adhesive. The liquid grabs right onto the linen thread and holds tight. I just used 2 clothespins to hold the layers together while the glue dried. It was all set and ready to finish with in about 5-7 minutes. Love the stuff.
To make my ornament, I spray painted with ivory Krylon (please change out of your church clothes before you start in on the spray paint & pay close attention to where you have the nozzle pointed when you begin…just sayin’!) and then gave it a once over with my Copic airbrush and E79 for a speckled look. Then I accented with Diamond Dust (chunky that I bought off of eBay last year) glitter and Crystal Effects. After I tapped off the excess Diamond Dust chunks, I sprinkled a little Dazzling Diamonds ultrafine glitter over it to stick where the chunks had not clung and left exposed adhesive. The smaller snowflakes were created with Sizzix Snowflakes die #15 and accented with the Diamond Dust chunks. A threaded button finishes them off.
You may continue on the JustRite Christmas Blog Hop (or jump in!) by following the master list below. Thanks again for stopping by to see my project. Hope you have a wonderful day!

So I guess the demons don’t pass once you get pulbhsied. Darn. Good luck with ELEANOR’S HEART subs, and the “Two Week Wall” in NaNo is always tough for me. Push through it, and I’m sure there will be some gold to sift out once you’re done. Keep Rockin’ The ROW. ~clink~
Well done to think of something like that
No complaints on this end, simply a good piece.
That’s really shrewd! Good to see the logic set out so well.
Why do I bother calling up people when I can just read this!
Smart thinking – a clever way of looking at it.
It’s good to get a fresh way of looking at it.
