After Vacation….

You know what happens after a wonderful, busy, blissful vacation? Everyone else trots into work or school all happy-go-lucky. They are rested and ready to face whatever challenge awaits. You know what happens to Momma? She starts the endless piles of laundry, grocery shopping, going through the mail, cleaning out the car, catching up on committee work, searching through bags for her camera card, etc., etc., etc….

Ah, it’s so good to be home. I think.

Sharing two quick Whipper Snapper cards today using Anna’s set, Sending Happy Thoughts. I have found this flower pot so easy to work with. Have loved paper-piecing the pot, glazing over it and then simple coloring on the flower with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens. The top sample features Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey. The second sample uses paper from a current Stampin’ Up! pack that I cannot remember the name of. ๐Ÿ™‚

The dryer is buzzing yet again…If you have any questions about my supplies, please ask. I’ll get you the answers you need. ๐Ÿ™‚

See you tomorrow!

  1. Isn’t that the truth Lori! Having not gone anywhere but having just folded 3 loads of laundry I hear ya girl! Glad you had a good time.

Gorgeous creations. Anna’s images are always the cutest!

  2. I LOVE these sweet cards!! I am such a fan of Anna’s work, it’s almost embarrassing!

I would like to become better at showcasing these sweet stamps like you did here. These cards are gorgeous, embellished and layered, but the images are not overwhelmed. You showed them off rather than overpowering them, which is sometimes what I do! I think the glaze is the perfect touch!

I’ll be back to see what you come up with next!!

  3. These are adorable, Lori! And even though we didn’t go anywhere on Spring Break, I sooo feel your pain. I kept saying, “When do yall go back to school again?” LOL

  4. These are the sweetest, Lori!

  5. I love the both cards Lori, but I love the first card the most. The colors are delicious and I love the look of the square popped off the scalloped square. It’s amazing how a single flower pot says so much! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. these are just cutie pie sweet delicious!!! so much fun and color that I can’t help but smile!! ๐Ÿ™‚ love the way you kept it simple, but a joy to look at. the buttons are the perfect touch!

I somedays feel like Pavlov’s dogs when the dryer buzzer goes off – on auto pilot I race from whatever I’m doing to fold, fold, fold. at least 2 loads a day, oh the weary, weary work! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll be thinkin’ about ya while I’m workin’ on mine!
