New Love

Another VSN card I made this morning. Challenge: Make a card using the new things you love! Everything on the card (except the cardstock and ink) should be new within the past two months or something you’ve been hoarding that you’ve never used before.

Stamps –  These Flourishes Roses arrived here last month. They hadn’t seen ink. I love yellow roses. Another fun find from CHA and available from Flourishes are the Foil Strips from Flower Soft. These thin strips come on a sheet with many, many pieces. You peel and stick to your layer edges for an instant soldered look without the mess. Definitely a new love. The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets, a set called Card Sentiments.  Roses stamped on Shimmery White with Sunshine Yellow Adirondack ink. I smear the ink with my fingertip just a bit after stamping to lightly color the petals of the flowers. Then each rose is accented with a clear Spica glitter pen for a little extra shimmer.

More to come…the party continues over at Splitcoast. Lots of card making today.
