Sweetest Stamper I Know

Let’s celebrate with one of my favorite people today!  So proud of my friend Taylor and what she’s accomplished as a designer, store owner and stamp manufacturer. The girl’s got it going on. She’s the sweetest stamper I know!

We’re celebrating the one year anniversary of the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge.  Each of the ladies on the Weekly Cupcake Crew has designed their own sketch for the celebration. I am featuring Monika Davis’ sketch. You can see the sketch and her sample at her blog, M.A.D. Stamper. Lynn Put and Frances Byrne have samples of this sketch for you, too!

Don’t forget to check out Taylor’s blog. She has all of the 9 sketch challenges as well as an incredible grand prize for one random winner who participates in ALL of them.  All of the details are at Taylored Expressions.

I remember meeting Taylor several years ago at a Splitcoaststampers get together in Southern California. I had admired her gallery and stamping prowess for quite some time, and knew that she had lots of fans. (Case in point, just a short time before I actually met Taylor, I overheard 2 ladies in Michael’s giggling with delight over finding the ribbons that Taylor had featured on her blog!) I mean, the girl had fans, and I was intimidated.

At this dinner in So Cal, I end up sitting right next to Taylor. You would have thought we were old friends. We laughed and chatted the night away.  We’ve since met up several times over the years, been roomies a time or two and it’s always so fun.  In November, I had laid a guilt trip on Taylor to join me and a few girlfriends in Fort Worth. It was a spur of the moment trip for all of us, so I really did understand when Taylor couldn’t commit… Well, let’s say she’s sweet AND SNEAKY  as she proceeded to scare me half to death when I put my luggage in the trunk of Sharon’s car. Taylor jumps out of the trunk yelling SURPRISE. I cried right there in the car pick up line at DFW International Airport. Those who know me are so surprised..I KNOW!

Details on my sample: I used my Large Circle Nestabilities from Spellbinders to create a folded note, circle shape. Then I used my Large Scalloped Circles to create a ‘cover’ for my note. The whole thing is just under 4.25”, so it will still fit in an A2 envie. I was working double time on Wednesday, so I used up the last of my ‘just for fun’ heart scraps. Love that this paper is full of hearts, but not necessarily frilly! KWIM? My darlin’ little ‘muffin’ is from the set Love is Sweet. Isn’t he the cutest? 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! I’m celebrating big today at the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’.  I’ll see you tomorrow with some party pictures from the festivities!
