WSC65: Bird Watching

So we do a little more than ‘watching’… I knew from first glimpse that this Saturday Evening Post image would be coming to my house. Honestly, it will be perfect for most of cards that my husband requests for his own use, like this one. He needed a thank you, and got a little frustrated this morning when it took longer than 10 minutes. I said, ‘hey, if you can sit out there ALL DAY LONG for 6 birds, you can give me more than 10 minutes for one card!’

I struggled with Beate’s sketch, but finally re-worked the orientation and settled here. I added score lines on the bottom, the sentiment and the double stitching in the lower right corner to give it some balance. The clock from Time to Stamp was stamped behind the flower to keep with the sketch. I pushed the froo-foo envelope as far as I thought I could get away with, all things considered. 🙂

I’m sure that Sharon, Mary Jo, Jenn, Charmaine, Cambria and Beate have struggle-free treats in store for you today. I’m excited to see what they did with the double circle element in the sketch. Have a great Friday!
