Card Creations

Why is it so hard to photograph white? At least you can see the sparkles! This is a project that I had published in the recently released Card Creations from Paper Crafts magazine. So many fabulous cards in this issue, really something for every occasion. Very fun to look through and see of the different styles and ideas.

This little snowman is a fabulous Kim Hughes image, and he’s solid! Generally, snowmen are drawn in line art and then left to color in. That’s fun, but it’s super cool to just stamp this little guy in white and go. Here he’s embossed with iridescent ice emboss powder for shimmer and shine. I’ve accented his belly with black Mark Richards rhinestones and colored his particulars with Copic Markers. The snow was stamped from Kim’s set Bold Curls.

Tip: I’ve just barely brushed the edge of the snowman with my lightest blue Copic marker (B000) to make it POP against the white background. I did the same thing around the edge of the sentiment.

Thanks for looking! I’ll be back tomorrow with another fun Lockhart image.
