Twin Lizzie & Blog Candy

Seems like everyone is gearing up for World Card Making Day next weekend, Saturday, October 4th. I’ve put Wes on alert that I’m ‘unavailable’. Lucky for me, he & the girls have plans for a soccer tournament. 🙂 So many companies (including Splitcoast!) are planning challenges and activities to celebrate, it should be fun! I’m planning to create a stash of cards that day. I’ll need to focus on clean and simple if I want to get a lot accomplished.

For my ‘twin Lizzie’ designs today, I’ve paired Lizzie Anne Designs stamps with Eva Basic Grey paper for quick and cute. This first card uses Far East and Tombow Markers. I’ve accented the blossoms with a hint of glitter for punch.  I’ve stamped and cut out the lantern. The branch through the loop on the lantern was just drawn in with a marker. It’s attached with a dimensional dot.

This sample is a simple, simple design featuring In the Meadow.  The blossoms sparkle with glitter, and it’s finished off with colored twill from Taylored Expressions. Easy Peasy….

I’ve been talking about blog candy for a week – so without further blabbing – candy from Paper Crafts Magazine (not pictured), Lizzie Anne Designs and Cornish Heritage Farms. Package includes: Paper Crafts’ special issue Cards, Gifts, & More: Paper Crafting 3 Ways, Floral Frenzy stamp set from the sweet girls at Lizzie Anne Designs and a gigantic Vintage Ledger Scrapblock™ from my friends at Cornish Heritage Farms. Both of these fine companies are official sponsors of the World Card Making Day site and activities. Thanks to them for their support of my paper crafting passion.

How to enter to win: Leave me a comment with your plans for World Card Making Day – even if they don’t include paper crafting! How’s that for easy? I’ll pick a winner on Sunday night. I might let the girls help me – so who knows what that process will involve. 🙂 However it works out, I’ll mail your stuff so you can have it in time to play on Saturday, October 4th (unless you’re a Canadian winner, I don’t think it would make it that fast!).

I’ll be back in the morning with a card for Beate’s Sketch Challenge – love the sketch this week! Hope you do too! Have a great day!
