May my mind be steadfast….

 Journalling scripture, questions, answered prayers, desires and the Lord’s response is a wonderful way to keep your mind steadfast on Him.

This is a journal that I started back in the middle of summer, shortly after I received that wonderful first new catalog shipment from Stampin’ UP! The cocoa designer paper is something that I have really enjoyed using. So, I covered the journal with the DP, and let it sit on my desk … until about 2 weeks ago.

That is when I paired the covered journal with some layered Fabulous Flowers blooms to finish off this journal. I stamped the big flower 3 times and cut it out in different patterns to layer for depth. The petals are covered with Stardust Clear Shimmer Pen. The leaves and background flowers were stamped in Chocolate Brilliance Pearlescent ink to shimmer, too. The words were embossed in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and Clear Detail EP to pop off the page.

I finished it off with a scalloped strip of paper, facing the spine of the journal and ribbon, ribbon, ribbon. The wide satin Pomegranate and the Chocolate Taffeta are so wondeful together. I cut the end off of a square HodgePodge Hardware frame to make the “J” tag. The “J” is stamped with my Craft Secret Alphabet. 

I have a busy, busy weekend ahead. I told you earlier that I was supposed to be getting ready for that garage sale…I’ve barely stopped pricing, folding and setting up all day. Now I need to be in bed before 11:00 p.m. so I can get up and actually work the sale tomorrow.
